About Terry

Terry Bailey serves as a Senior Business Development Manager, who help clients throughout SW Ontario and is based in London. Terry work with Banks, Credit Unions and Mortgage Brokers.

Terry’s career in Financial Services started in 1979. He spent just over 19 years with Scotiabank and held various roles there, Mobile Mortgage Specialist, District Sales Manager for SW Ontario managing a team of Mortgage Specialists throughout SW Ontario and a Health Care lender specializing in Dental and Medical lending.

Terry joined HomeEquity Bank in 2017. He chose to join HomeEquity Bank because he believes that there is a great need to help elderly Canadians enjoy the retirement that they have worked so hard for. When Terry helps a client stay in their home and enjoy a much more stress-free retirement, it is very rewarding, especially when they tell him that it changed their life.

Terry also enjoys tennis, is married and has two children and four grandchildren!

What is a Reverse Mortgage?

A reverse mortgage is a loan secured against the value of your home. Unlike a loan or a regular mortgage, with CHIP you are not required to make payments. You only repay the loan when you move or sell your home.

You’ve worked hard to own your home. Now get your home working for you to:

  • Pay off debts
  • Renovate or make your home more accessible
  • Handle unexpected expenses
  • Help your children or grandchildren
  • Improve your day-to-day living standard
  • Make a special trip or purchase

Your obligations

You are required to keep your property in good maintenance, pay your property taxes and property insurance.
